WHAT IS THE MENOPAUSE?

The menopause is a time to welcome and celebrate a new beginning in the cycle of womanhood as the verity of youth is transformed into the sagacity of the wise-woman.  It is a time of immense inner and outer transition.  It is indeed a “change of life” - a change into a new state of being.  The menopause is often seen as a state-of-being ranging from the physical, biochemical, hormonal, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, to the sociopolitical.  It is Nature’s signal that the female reproductive system is preparing for a much-deserved rest by no longer producing ova.
