Vital Muesli Apple Crumble

Serves 8



1.5 cups / 210g Vital Fruit, Nut & Seed Muesli

Top tip: You can use any of the 3 Vital Muesli flavours to change up your apple crumble!

6 Tbsp butter, melted

3 Tbsp Vital Molasses


4 Tbsp butter

1 kg apples, sliced

Juice of 1 lemon

3 Tbsp Vital Molasses

2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Honey & vanilla yoghurt:

1 cup / 260g Greek style yoghurt

2 Tbsp honey

1 tsp vanilla extract


Combine muesli, melted butter and molasses in a bowl. Mix and set aside.

Slice apples and then toss with the lemon juice.

Melt butter in a large saucepan / dutch oven.

Add the apples, molasses, cinnamon and vanilla.

Cook until fragrant and the apples begin to soften and release their juices.

Once the apples are tender transfer them to a pie / baking dish.

Preheat oven to 180˚C.

Top the apples with the muesli crumble mixture.

Bake for about 30 minutes until the crumble topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling. Allow to cool slightly.

Whisk yoghurt ingredients together just before serving.

Serve crumble with dollops of the honey & vanilla yoghurt.
